"Lean-Burn" Jet
Flameless Lighter
The Lean-Burn system is the latest technical advancement in lighter engineering. Revolutionary lighter for
the 21st century. "Lean-Burn" system generates a stable combustion by setting the catalyzer in
the middle of the internal burner cylinder which in turn, generates a secondary gas combustion. This
mechanical enhancement resulted in two revolutionary achievements. First, it drastically reduces the gas
consumption rate of a lighter by 50%. For example, it enables a user to smoke 10 cigars a day or 20
cigarettes a day for 30 days without refilling. Second, it allows the lighter to work in high altitude
places where the amount of oxygen is limited.
Jet Turbo Flameless Lighters
As butane gas flows into the internal burner cylinder, the piezo spark ignites a flame and heats up
catalyzer (coil). The burning catalyzer creates a flame that is intensely high in temperature and does not
blow out against the wind. Genuinely windproof under any weather conditions. It is critical that cigars
and cigarettes must be lit an inch away from the burning catalyzer. Do not tamper with the burning
catalyzer under any circumstances. Prevent dirt from pockets and dust from falling ashes from penetrating
into the inner part of the lighter. Dirt and dust can seriously jeopardize normal functioning of a jet
turbo flameless lighter. Jet turbo flameless lighters require a special care. Remember that this is not an
ordinary fluid flint lighter. Longevity of a jet turbo flameless lighter depends mostly on how clean a
lighter is kept free of dirt and dust from the burning catalyzer.
Jet Torch Lighters
The working mechanism is almost the same as jet turbo flamesless lighters without a burning catalyzer.
Instead of creating a broad flame aided by a burning catalyzer, jet torch lighters create a thin,
needle-like blue flame. The degree of heat created by this blue, thin flame is more intense than a burning
catalyzer flame. Since jet torch lighter shoots out a straight blue flame, it allows a user to visually
pinpoint to an area where flame should hit. Ideal in creating an even burning of cigars instantly.
Jet Laser Lighters
A similiar working mechanism as the jet torch lighters. The only difference is a crimson (red) flame which
results freom two sided coils. Initially, it starts out as a blue torch flame, but when the blue torch
flame hits the two sided coils the coils cause the blue torch flame to turn into a red flame. The red
flame is so intense that it appears to look like a red laser beam.
Electronic Piezo Lighters
A flame ignites when an electronic spark created by a device called electronic piezo results in combustion
with butane gas flowing through the internal burner cylinder. The electronic piezo flame is visible like
any other normal flames. Ideal for soft and natural burning of cigars and cigarettes.
Flint Lighters
The Stone Age concept applied to a lighter. When two sharp objects are rubbed against each other at a
faster pace, they create a spark. The same concept is used in flint lighters. When a spark wheel is rolled
against flint, it creates a spark, thereby creating combustion with escaping butane gas from the internal
burner cylinder. There is a constant flow of butane gas in flint lighters. As soon as you open a flint
lighter, butane gas escapes. Do not open the lighter unless you need to light. Unnecessary openings of a
flint lighter cap will result in butane gas escaping.
Keeping Vector Lighters
Trouble Free
- Keep lighters clean from any type of dust (i.e., falling ashes when cigars and cigarettes are
lighted, and dust from pockets when lighters are kept in your pockets). Use lighter leather covers to
prevent dust from penetrating into the lighter. Over 90% of return lighters are serviced simply by
blowing off excessive dirt and dust inside a lighter using compressed air.
- If necessary, blow off any excessive dirt and dust from the catalyzer area using compressed air can.
Compressed air can be easily purchased from any local hardware store.
- Jet Turbo Flameless, Jet Torch, Jet Laser, and Electronic Piezo are not ordinary fluid flint
lighters. They all have sensitive ignition mechanisms that require delicate handling of the ignition
switch. Do not flick or press ignition switches like a fluid flint lighter at a fast pace. There are two
different types of ignition switches; push-down and slide-down ignition switches. For both ignition
switches, operate them slowly and gently. The lighter ignition system has a split-second delayed
reaction time. Fast ignition usually results in misfiring, whereas slow and gentle ignition method
ensures ignition every time.
- When the flame gets weak and low, it usually means a time to refill. Constant ignition and adjustment
of the flame height when the flame is weak can seriously damage lighters. Use triple refined Vector
premium butane gas to refill the lighter. Refilling instructions are as follows:
- Make sure no open flames are nearby.
- Bleed any air from fuel tank by pressing down the refill valve located on the bottom of the lighter,
until hissing sound stops. See the diagrams below:
- Hold lighter upright and insert butane gas nozzle into the refill valve. Hold butane gas can down
for about 15 seconds. Esacping gas during refilling indicates fuel tank is full with butane.
- Do not ignite right away after refilling. Wait about 5 minutes to the lighter reach room
temperature.
- Set the flame height adjuster to a proper position.
- Simply keeping a lighter free of dirt and dust, and refilling on a regular basis will lengthen the
longevity of the lighter. For other troubles, refer to the do it yourself maintenance guide below.
